Who We Are

DualSenseX was created by Paliverse Apps LLC and is currently still in active development with major updates and features to be added. With the help of a few tools and apps from the open source community, DualSenseX wouldn't be the app it is today. This website (unofficial) has been made to promote the app with added support and guidance on using DSX/DS5.

How Does It Work

DualSense X is an all in one tool, depending on the feature, you can emulate a Xbox and DS4 controller to support more games and lets you customize your controller to your needs. The main usage of DualSenseX is to add support for adaptive triggers, audio haptic feedback and creating a next generation DS5Windows.

Anyone that wants to use their DualSense controller on PC. DSX brings your PS5 controller to life with support for adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, Xbox and DS4 controller emulation, keyboard mapping and much more. Game developers and modders can also utilize DualSense X to integrate adaptive triggers within their projects.

Yes, DualSenseX was specifically made to support the PS5 controller only. If you would like to use and customize your PS3/PS4/Nintendo controllers, we recommend still using DS4Windows.

DSX works similar to DS4windows by remapping the real controller to a new virtual emulated gamepad or by directly mapping the real gamepad to the user’s keyboard and mouse.

DualSenseX also comes with tons of extra options specifically made for the PS5 controller, such as, a gamepad tester, RGB customization, adaptive trigger configurations and audio haptic feedback integration.

The Sony DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5 gives the player “haptic feedback,” a trend in modern hardware designed to stimulate the user’s sense of touch with more specific, stylized vibration.

The slight shudder in your smartphone when you toggle between skin tones for emoji—that’s haptic feedback.

Currently Audio Haptics works only with a USB connection to the controller

The analog triggers on the PS5 controllers are generally described as having “variable resistance”, but it turns out that’s not the whole story. Not only is the trigger capable of variable resistance when being pressed, but it can also push back in variable ways and with varying amounts of force.

The main advantages are:

  • Virtual controllers are recognized as “real” by the system. As such, they work in any game or application on the system that has support for them
    • This does not magically add gamepad support to games that do not have them or support only one type of controller. If a game works only with Xbox gamepads then you NEED to do Xbox emulation, since the game would not recognize the gamepad if you were to emulate a DS4
  • A game may have fixed control schemes, but the user wants to rebind a function from one button to another. By directly rebinding the virtual controller’s button on DSX the user completely bypass the game’s limitation

Download the DualSenseX-Setup.zip on dualsensex.com
  1. Download the latest HidHide and ViGEmBus drivers.
  2. To install, double-click HidHideMSI.msi, ViGemBus.exe and dualsenseX-setup and follow the instructions presented.
  3. MAKE SURE YOU REBOOT TO TAKE EFFECT.
  4. Connect your PS5 controller via USB or Bluetooth connection
  5. Launch DualSenseX application and enjoy!

Currently, only one Controller can be connected to the DualSenseX App. Paliverse will eventually add this feature in the future.

To be able to emulate an Xbox 360 or a DualShock 4, ViGEm driver is required to make it wor.

When emulating an Xbox 360 or DualShock 4, Games/Programs can see both the emulation Controller And the DualSense Controller. HidHide helps in hiding the DualSense Controller so that the emulated Controller is the only one being seen by the system.

If the Game has native support, please close DualSenseX so that the game can talk to the controller, otherwise they will fight each other with what get’s sent to the Controller

No, Currently ViGEm only supports Xbox 360 and DualShock 4 emulations
